Learning Safely With Children
DrKiddo is committed to ensuring that all young people can explore and develop their interests in healthcare and medicine in a safe and enjoyable environment. We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of every child who participates in our programs. We are dedicated to following best practices in safeguarding to ensure that DrKiddo clubs are places where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.
How to report a concern
If any safeguarding concerns arise during a DrKiddo club session, we encourage individuals to first raise them with the staff managing the club venue.
Any safeguarding concerns identified as a result of participating in a DrKiddo club should be reported directly to the DrKiddo team or local safeguarding team using the Lambeth Multi-agency Safeguarding form.

Safeguarding Policy

We encourage everyone involved in our programs to familiarize themselves with our safeguarding policy to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all.
Guidelines
Additionally, we provide easy-to-follow guidelines for volunteers and club organizers to ensure the safety of young people participating in DrKiddo clubs.
We strongly recommend that all volunteers complete our free safeguarding e-learning module, which offers practical advice on child safeguarding and helps create a safe learning environment for all participants.
How to get a DBS check
Before starting a DrKiddo club, volunteers and club organizers must complete any necessary local background checks (DBS) as required by law.
